He doesn't want the one who walks in his own way during the week without a daily desirous heart for Him and then shows up on Sunday expecting Him to acknowledge and praise him because of what he put in the offering plate for Him. God considers that a bribe and you wanting something in return. This practice is only to save face, to show people you go to church. If you aren't there for God He won't be there for you. He wants the worshiper who feeds daily from the bread of life and wanting the desires God has for us. The genuine worshiper cannot bribe God. What he gives to the Lord is received by the Lord and this is pleasing to Him. You can bribe people but not God.Marilyn Stewartnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1144470538910967644.post-61297141181032751182011-07-21T09:22:24.589-04:002011-07-21T09:22:24.589-04:00Verse 5:

Because of my lack of wisdom and hastiness, I made the wrong decision. I'm learning, though, that haste does indeed make waste, and God's will, while not always the quick answer that I want, is ALWAYS best. Anything worth having is worth waiting for. :)Becky Crewsnoreply@blogger.com
